“Moving Alexis and Amber to Children’s Lighthouse was one of the best decisions we’ve made. Seeing how much the girls have blossomed since then reaffirms this. We appreciate everything all of you do on a daily basis to make the girls’ time away from us as fun and special as possible.”
-The Jackola Family
“Dyson has been moping about this week because he realizes that this is his last week at Childrens Lighthouse. He doesn't want to leave his teachers and friends. he will miss you; we'll all miss you. You really were a Lighthouse as I sat in the hotel waiting for our furniture to arrive, wondering where he should go to get ready for kindergarten. He has learned so much these past seven months. he has surpassed our expectations and is more than ready for the challenges of kindergarten. We thank you for helping him feel more comfortable in preparation for the next step in life - Big Boy School! We know that you'll be successful in years to come! ”
-The Kim Family
“This is the second day care Mia has been in within a few months. I was afraid of the transition, but Mia has adapted exceptionally. I would recommend Childrens Lighthouse to any parent. The staff and facility is excellent. Mia loves the Center. She always is looking forward to going to school. Mia has learned so much from the Lighthouse. At the age of three, she is working on writing and learning her numbers. I am truly impressed with the facility. ”
-Gina Bonnell (Mother of 3 year old daughter)
“The staff is exceptional, and they use very positive and innovative approaches. I felt so comfortable leaving Cannon with them. There are not enough words to describe how great the staff is. ”
-Daci Kermes (Mother of 18 month old son)
“Childrens Lighthouse is a beautiful, well run and organized center. I am pleased with the administration. They are friendly and exhibit amazing customer service. Other centers are more business oriented. Childrens Lighthouse makes the facility feel like family...the kids are always running up to the administration and hugging them. The facility is clean, colorful and has a staff that is great at what they do. ”
-Kim McVeigh (Mother of 5 year old and 2 year old sons)
Ladies,
I titled this email "compliments for Ms. Michelle and Ms. Brittany" but compliments should also go to the supporting teachers, Ms. Susan and Ms. Anjella.
In April, Addison had her 5 year old check up and most recently, Robbie had his 4 year old check up. At both appointments (and with separate doctors), the doctors indicated that Addison and Robbie were well beyond 5 and 4 year old expectations as far as verbal skills, school readiness (overall knowledge) and fine motor skills (writing).
Addison wow'd her doctor with her reading, playing the rhyming and opposite game. Addison even drew a picture of the family, including our cat. While we were stick figures, her proportions for having taller parents and smaller kids and even smaller cat were correct. Dr. Atkins commented that these are skills considered normal for kindergarteners, so Addison is ahead of the curve.
And for Robbie, Dr. Silberman was greatly impressed that Robbie could write his first and last name (I find that many other late 3-early 4 years old don't know even how to write very well). Robbie also told Dr. Silberman that he lived in Jacksonville, FL, on earth and that the President of the US was Barack Obama. Robbie went on to impress the doctor with other bits of knowledge including talking about sharing with friends, discussing his daily routine and how it is important to listen and help.
While I know my kids are geniuses, it's clear that they well on their path of brilliance due to the tender loving care and guidance given by their teachers. I appreciate all of Ms. Michelle's/Ms. Susan's and Ms. Brittany's/Ms. Anjella's efforts because not only are they teaching the Abeca curriculum, they are developing my kids' social skills and making them better behaved individuals. And, obviously each has a true talent for dealing with and imparting knowledge.
Sincerely,
Stephanie
