About Our Management Team

Hello, my name is Christy Matthews and it is a pleasure to be the director of Childrens Lighthouse Learning Center in Hickory Creek, Texas. As the administrator of this school, I offer over 14 years of experience in child care from being a preschool teacher, administrative assistant, assistant director, and currently a director. I have my credentials for Child Care Administrator through Early Childhood Management Institute. My husband and I have celebrated many years of marriage and are proud parents of two girls. I enjoy spending time with my family and I love to collect angels and turtles. What I am most proud of at my school is the wonderful curriculum and the teachers and staff that truly care for the children that they are responsible for each day. Before I was hired to work at Childrens Lighthouse, I was a parent looking for quality childcare for my two children in the area. I looked at many facilities before coming to Childrens Lighthouse; I fell in love with the warm staff, bright atmosphere, and the bible phonic based curriculum. I have been working for Childrens Lighthouse for many years and plan for a long future here. I thoroughly enjoy working here because I am able to be instrumental in the positive development of young lives as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
