Good morning,

We just wanted to take a minute to thank you all for taking such great care of our son Juett. His father and I are so appreciative for the time you spend with him. It was so hard to let him go to school, but we are both so glad that God put us in your path. He loves his teachers and we could not have wished for him to be in a better place. Please know that we appreciate the time and efforts you put into making an environment that is safe and loving for him.

Much Appreciation,
Mike and Ebonee King

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Robert Abbott. My wife, Aimee, and I have been bringing our children, Cydney and Lane to Childrens Lighthouse for the past four years. Cydney, now seven, started at age three and Lane at age two. Prior to this our children stayed with a private nanny. Our decision to enroll them with Childrens Lighthouse proved to be an invaluable choice. Though the nanny provided a loving environment, they lacked the social environment they would encounter in public schools as well and the preparatory curriculum that has proved priceless. Over the past four years, Cydney and Lane, have made countless new friends and learned to deal with an environment populated by their peers. Not all interactions where positive, but they did teach them to deal with them, something better learned here than in kindergarten. Fortunately, the positive interactions far outnumber the negative, but they are better enriched for having experienced both. As important as the social lessons learned, I am most pleased with the academic head start they received. The Abeka system here made my children's transition into the McKinney school district seamless. Both Cydney and Lane preformed superbly in there first years in elementary school thanks to the skills attained in a loving, Christian environment given by Childrens Lighthouse Learning Center.

Now Cydney and Lane are part of the after school program. It has been has been a pleasure sending my children to a place that they are not only glad to go to, but I can leave them with peace of mind.

Re: Letter of Recommendation
To perspective parents:

My daughter, Madison, started out in the Pre-K 4 class at Childrens Lighthouse in McKinney. Michelle was her lead teacher and made the classroom fun for the kids as well as a learning environment. One of the things that attracted us to Childrens Lighthouse was the Abeka Curriculum.

Also, Childrens Lighthouse offers a Private Kindergarten program. This seemed to be a perfect fit for our daughter since she likes to be challenged. Also, Madison has an October birthday so she would miss the cutoff for starting Public Kindergarten. Therefore, we decided to enroll her in the Private Kindergarten program her second year. Ms. Jones was her lead teacher and really was good about adding structure to the classroom. Also, it was amazing to see how much Madison learned in such a short period of time.

I have no regrets in choosing the Childrens Lighthouse to care for Madison. They have always been good to Madison and taken care of her.

Sincerely,
Cindy Tucker

To Whom it may concern:

This letter serves as a reference for Childrens Lighthouse. Our daughter, Emilia, has been attending daycare at the McKinney location since June 2007 when she was eight weeks old. She is about to be 16 months old. Childrens Lighthouse has provided our little angel with great care. Emilia was born with Hip Dysplasia. She was placed in a harness at 3-months old until she was about 9 months old. This usually solves the problem, but she was in the one percentile that it did not work for. She was then placed in a full body cast from her ankles to her chest. This process took about 3 months. This process helped place her hip bones back into socket, but she must continue to wear a brace until her hip bones form in the correct "cupping" position. We as parents were worried about the amount of time we would need to take off work to help our daughter through all of this. The staff at Childrens Lighthouse did not even hesitate when they said they would be able to accept Emilia in her condition and provide the specialized care she needed. The staff has done a wonderful job with Emilia and has been patient with the on-going changes in her needs. They have provided tremendous care, warmth, and love well beyond what other daycare facilities would provide. Emilia's teachers are eager to learn any news after her doctor appointments and are genuinely concerned with her hip development. We highly recommend the staff at Childrens Lighthouse from our positive experience. We will continue to send our daughter to this facility as we feel it is the best for her development and growth. We leave her every day knowing she is in good hands.

Sincerely,
Alfred & Elizabeth Garcia

To Whom It May Concern:

I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know how grateful I am to Childrens Lighthouse. I brought my soon to be 3 year old son to them in August of 2007. I choose to have him in a small home with only a few children for more one on one attention and education. I was unaware of how that had really impacted him until I started him at Childrens Lighthouse. I would have to say within 60 days of his arrival there was a measureable difference in his development and social skills. The woman that watched him prior to Childrens filled a purpose when he was very young in offering love and affection but I am so happy we made the move when we did. Since he has been at Childrens Lighthouse he has showed interest in books, music and art. These are things that he would never show interest in before but since it is part of their curriculum he has been exposed to it on a daily basis. Also, one area that all parents are interested in is potty training. They really helped him as well as his peers to get started and finished with his responsibilities. I am proud to say now, he is potty trained. This was a forever process that did not seem to have an end in sight but I really take my hat off to his teacher for helping us and him with this task. I am so happy we have chosen to have him at Childrens Lighthouse and now that he is there I cannot imagine him at any other facility. To a new family considering this facility I can tell that there are a lot of hands on activities for development and personal/professional repoire with the staff and teachers. Please consider them. I am very happy with our decision to come here and have no regrets.

Thank you,

Childrens Lighthouse

All parents want to have the best care for their kids. We visited several childcare facilities in the McKinney area looking for the best care possible for our newborn. We brought our baby girl to several childcare facilities and finally to Childrens Lighthouse. The first thing we noticed was how attentive the director was to our baby girl. She greeted our baby girl right when we walked into the building. While giving us the tour of the facilities, the director continued to pay particular attention to our baby. The teacher in the classrooms also first greeted our baby and continued to pay attention to her.

We could not believe it. Our baby girl was the center of attention throughout the visit. Our decision was made. Even today, my children are greeted first by all of the teachers. They both come home each day talking about all of the things that happened at school and how much they love their teachers and playing with their friends.

Through the years, the teachers have watched our kids grow up. We have watched our kids grow and develop with the aid of the teachers at Childrens Lighthouse and the ABEKA program.

We have had a wonderful experience at Childrens Lighthouse.

Childrens Lighthouse has been a wonderful place for my five year old son, Nicholas. He has been there since he was four months old. Nicholas has always received the best care and has had his needs met for his educational and emotional growth. The curriculum is awesome and I feel he has progressed beyond my expectations. He was reading by the time he was four and a half years old. The curriculum started at a young enough age that he absorbed quite a bit and now has a love of learning.

I would highly recommend Childrens Lighthouse for your childs care and education.

To Whom It May Concern,

We are writing to give high recommendation of the learning program at Childrens Lighthouse. Three of our children have attended Children Lighthouse over the years for Mothers Day Out and Pre-K, and two have attended the Private Kindergarten program with Mrs. Jones. The preparation they have received through the curriculum has led our children to perform at a higher reading and mathmatics level once transitioned to public school. Mrs. Jones is an outstanding teacher in many ways. She is an extremely organized person and provides a structural environment for them to learn in. Discipline is a top priority but carried out in a loving and caring way. When the time comes we plan to do the same with our third child. Childrens Lighthouse is both fun and educational. We recommend this school to anyone who is thinking about it as an option for their child.

A Parent's Letter of Recommendation

Our kids love going to school at Childrens Lighthouse! I want to let other prospective parents know how happy our family is with this choice in educational childcare. Childrens Lighthouse has provided a secure base for our kids to learn and explore their world in safety.

There is great student-to-teacher ratio in the classroom where our 2 year old, Julian, spends the morning. The teachers are kind, caring, and professional. He is happy, stimulated, and learning good social skils with other toddlers.

One of the things we like most about Childrens Lighthouse is the communication with parents. We get a daily report from Julians teacher, which is always accurate. If one of our kids bumps his head or falls down during the day, we will get a call to let us know. If I miss them, I can always check in through the Internet to peek into the classrooms and see what they are doing. And when I pick the kids up, they are never bored or crying. They are contented and playing.

Conrad, our 3 year old, is growing in leaps and bounds in his room! We can see his mind taking in all the new ideas introduced by the A Beka curriculum. Whether he is singing about the seasons or doing simple math with manipulatives, Conrad is always learning something new. Our fridge is filled with the colorful projects that come home!

Extracurricular offerings are a neat perk. There are extra classes in Tae Kwon Do, Sports, Computer, Cheerleading, Spanish...you name it. As our kids grow and their interests branch out, we will not have to look far to satisfy them in a familiar setting.

Speaking of satifying them...healthy nutrition is very important to us. Our kids are used to eating whole foods at home. At Childrens Lighthouse, a balanced lunch and two snacks are served every day. No skimping on the food here!

In short, Childrens Lighthouse is an excellant facility. As parents, we have peace of mind throughout the day. We know our kids are safe, learning and having great fun, all at the same time. What more could we ask?

Very truly yours,
Lisa D. Hull

To Childrens Lighthouse,

Four years ago, my family and I moved here from Mansfield, TX. We looked at several childcare centers for our 2 year old daughter Hannah to attend. There was without a doubt that Childrens Lighthouse was the best place for her to be. The staff was very friendly, it was clean, and it has a warm feeling when you walk through the door. The early years in a childs life are very crucial in their development. I know that CL has provided her with everything she needs to be successful.

Hannah graduated from the Private Kindergarten Program this year. My how the time flies! She has gained knowledge, confidence and friendships from CL. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have done for my daughter. It is so comforting to be able to walk out the front door and know that my child is in good hands.

Many Thanks,
JoLynn Copenhaver
