I just wanted to share what has been on my heart about Children's Lighthouse. When I brought Dylan to begin classes with you last February I was nervous. We had made the decision to leave the previous school where he had been going since he was about 4 months old. He had started getting bullied so much in a class of two year olds that he would come home crying to us. Also, every time I would come to the school I was seeing the kids sitting around watching cartoons, but not much else. The final straw for us was being told for the 3rd time while going there that Dylan would be moving up to a classroom of children that were far outside his age range 3's -- Dylan was 1 at this point and was already getting bitten, scratched, etc. on a regular basis. Also, I saw the teacher in that classroom yelling at her children frequently which was unacceptable to me. We knew we had to change.
On the first trip we took to visit the Children's Lighthouse we were impressed, relieved and excited to open a brand new happy and healthy chapter for Dylan.
Now a little more than a year later I can say whole-heartedly that I LOVE Children's Lighthouse. The school is always clean. The staff is not only friendly, but many of them have gone above and beyond to show that they care about us and our little family. The learning curriculum is wonderful! I really feel like all of you are my friends, and wonderful teachers for my child.
Dylan LOVES his school and he is learning SO MUCH! This child never ceases to amaze me with the stuff he comes home saying and doing. The other morning he found a flag in his toy box from last year's 4th of July celebration. He brought it to me and recited the Pledge of Allegiance to me in it's entirety! Now, our family can take a lot of credit for a lot of the things Dylan learns but this is most definitely something we've never taught him. It was a true testament for me of how much he is learning from the school!
We are truly blessed to have found all of you! That includes yourself and Laurie as well.
Thank you for everything you do!

My three-year-old son Jaxson has been attending Children’s Lighthouse of Rockwall for about nine months. I can’t say enough how happy I have been with the directors, teaching staff, and classes there! Jaxson has learned so much in nine months. He is counting to 30 now, knows his ABC’s, knows most of his colors and is almost completely potty trained. I honestly can’t thank his sweet lead teacher, Miss Tyler or the teachers in his former two’s class, Miss Ashley and Miss Alena, enough! The teachers are absolutely amazing, so sweet and attentive, and I can tell they really care about my son. Not to mention, when Jaxson started at Children’s Lighthouse, he was a very shy and quiet little boy. Children’s Lighthouse has really helped him to feel comfortable enough to come out of his shell. He is talking a lot more and becoming very social!
There are so many things I love about Children’s Lighthouse. The school is always clean. The directors are always available to talk, very approachable and always seem to know exactly what is going on in the school. The teachers and administrative staff all know my son’s name even if he isn’t in their class and they all greet him when they see him in the lobby or hallway. The school is filled with the same familiar faces that my son sees on a daily basis so he is comfortable even when he is in other areas of the school other than his main classroom. When I drop Jaxson off in the morning, he doesn’t cry or fuss when I leave anymore. He loves his teachers and his school and really looks forward to being there. I also love that when I pick Jaxson up in the afternoon, everyone that I see before even walking into his classroom already knows how his day was! I think we have found a loving school environment for Jaxson until he goes off to elementary school in a couple of years. We have begun to see the staff at Children’s Lighthouse as friends, if not family. I can’t imagine leaving my precious son anywhere else!
