About Our Management Team

Hello, my name is Lavonda Tinkle and I have made Childrens Lighthouse in Denton my home since 2000. Child care has been my passion and career since I was 16 years old. I earned my Director's credentials through PAC and have attended Mountain View and Brookhaven Junior Colleges. My husband, Bill, and I have been married for 30 years and we have four children; two sons, ages 30 and 28. My daughters are 17 and 16 years old. I have one very loved, and very spoiled granddaughter who is four years old. I love the A Beka curriculum and the fact that we can talk about God and religion. I love that our company has grown in size, but, maintained the personable nature it had from the start. I am most proud of my staff because they give 100% of themselves and they truly care about the social and educational development of children.
