Our A Beka Kindergarten Curriculum teaches all the skills a child needs to be prepared for future school experiences in a fun and exciting way. It enhances phonics and reading, writing skills, science exploration, and math. Children explore addition and subtraction, classic literature, social studies, poetry, theater, music and art.

Important character values such as respect, integrity, cooperation, and teamwork are nurtured and developed. Childrens Lighthouse also offers courses in Spanish and Computer literacy.

Each year our Kindergarten class ends with a formal graduation ceremony.

Letters & Sounds

Phonics workbook including short and long vowel sounds, consonant and vowel blends, one and two vowel words, special sounds, and sentence comprehension.

Writing with Phonics

As vowels, consonants, blends and words are introduced in phonics, the children will also learn how to write them.

Number Skills

Numbers workbook providing practice and evaluation of many concepts including numbers concepts from 1 through 100, numbers formation, number words, simple combinations, money, and telling of time.

Readiness Skills

Readiness book featuring coloring pages, mazes, directed art pages and other activities designed to aid the children in the development of writing readiness, eye hand coordination, visual perception, listening and thinking skills, and good character.

Gods World

Science series including studies in Biology (Creation), Science (Science: Order and Design), Chemistry (Precision and Design), Physics (Foundational Science) as well as Matter and Motion.

Social Studies

This unit will provide an introduction to helpers in your community, beginnings of American history, interesting features from countries around the world, and simple geography.

Writing Tablet

Sample letters help children see the exact formation of the letters in the size they are to write them.

Art Projects

Introduction to many of the basic concepts of art through a variety of arts and crafts projects. These projects include coloring, painting, tracing, cutting, and gluing, correlate with academics, Bible teaching, and the seasons.
